Apologies for the rubbish resolution - thats what happens when you use a digital sensor in low light... Anyway, I portray Gatsby looking out over the bay at the Buchanan's dock as he reflects over his first meeting with Daisy at Nick's house. Enjoy my lacklustre acting!
Gatsby baffled by love, nice, and i don't know if you were aiming for this but you made me think of the real gatsby by not masking your words in all his fancy english diction and made just those bold statements. I do wonder however if he would have been as true to himself as that, Robert Redford who played Gatsby in the movie described his character as one with conflicts, and i think maybe this would have been interesting to exploare in this moment, that skipping between Gatz and Gatsby.
ReplyDeleteSorry mate, misspelt explore. [Made sure i used a capitol letter and full stopa as well:)]
ReplyDeleteAll that in one go is impressive! I thought you captured Gatsby well with all his honesty and sincerity; much more human than the members of the Establishment. I also like the link to the whole time theme and Gatsby's thoughts on time, but I would have thought he'd be the type of character to believe that he had the power to control time (like he controls the law, etc.) rather than accept that he had fallen prey to it. Overall, I thought this was a great portrayal of Gatsby. :-)
