Gatsby after seeing Daisy at Nick's house

Enjoy!
(note: I missed 'lightly' from the phrase: "so it cannot be taken lightly" sorry for that...)

  1. It's good, but I can't really hear most of what you say? /: At the beginning of the video, you mentioned that Nick knew your motives? I honestly don't think Gatsby would say that, since in the novel, it is rather Nick's assumption that Gatsby had planned to 'use' him in. And being Gatsby, I don't think he would be so honest and truthful in describing his intentions. PS: I thought Gatsby would have an American accent............

    1. HAHA, that's a mean thing to say. :-( At least he dressed up for the part!

    2. Thanks Cheryl for your most constructive comment. At the beginning I have brought up the idea of whether or not Nick did know Gatsby's motive but I do recount using the word 'assume' : indefinite theme introduced here (if you don't realise)
PS: I do think that Gatsby would have more of an English accent. Why? Gatsby spent sometimes in England after the war and if he wants to be perceived as an individual coming out of the 'nobility' or 'old rich' would he not (and you will have to agree with me here) put up the accent?

  2. I like it, but don't you think Gatsby would be alot more cheerful and active after he met Daisy? And it seems like you were just telling us the plot, not Gatsby's thoughts

  3. I agree with Cheryl, it is really difficult to hear what you're talking. I like how you emphasise that Gatsby want to impress Daisy with appearance and material though :)
