This is our video and it's awesome. And the cheetah was in there because we thought that Jordan was kind of evil as she is always looking to worship others (especially those with money like Daisy) so that she can get something out of them. Therefore in this video we tried to make it seem that Jordan was always agreeing with Daisy. However, we were going to do a voice over thoughts thing but we figured it would take too much time and it might be confusing :) And we tried to make Daisy as stupid as possible.
BY THE WAY, this scene is about after Nick visited Daisy's house for the first time and Jordan had mentioned that she knew Gatsby. This is when Daisy is talking to Jordan and is having second thoughts about marrying Tom over Gatsby. This scene wasn't exactly in the novel but we tried to incorporate it using our empathy skills :)

ReplyDeletePretty good, nice desperation in daisy, and you may be right, however much jordan is depicted a s a strong independent woman by Nick, who drives and plays sport, a very unusual profession for a woman to have in those days days, she does seem dependent on the Buchanens. However i don't know weather her character would be devious in her thoughts, scheming like that and adjusting her opinion to whatever daisy thinks, i think it is more a case of not caring. Jordan in my opinion is more of a reckless figure who likes a bit of unlawful behavior and scandal.
ReplyDeleteEvidence for this would be her driving and gossiping, and the fact that she has no scruples to setting up the meeting between daisy and gatsby.
And by the way bloopers were a good idea:)

I like how Daisy is having this inner conflict with herself about Gatsby, and I agree with you guys and Simon about how Jordan is dependent on the Buchanans. I'm not sure 'dependent' is the right word, though, more so incredibly bored so she just floats around meddling with people's lives. That, or she, like Daisy and Tom, attaches herself to her own 'old rich' crowd because she feels as though everyone else is inferior. I liked it, good job. :-)
